Top scorers in Pool games – James Campbell, Ben Lewis, Jake Taylor, Harry White, Jamie Hayes, Daniel Hunter, Jack Coulter and Daniel Harrison. Killicomaine beat Lurgan JHS 5 – 0 in the Semi-final with 3 tries from Captain James Campbell and 1 from Jamie Hayes. In the final we defeated Dromore HS 6 – 0. Football
Killicomaine’s under 12 boys’ football team won the Mid Ulster Cup beating Lismore 4 – 1 in the final. Two well taken free kicks by Curtis Murphy, a great piece of finishing from Daniel Greer and a wonderful individual effort from Captain James Campbell ensured that Killicomaine’s recent success in all sports continued. En route to the final the boys beat Lurgan JHS 2 – 1 and Newry High School 8 – 1. This success capped a fantastic season for the boys who narrowly missed out on the league and made it to the quarter finals of the Northern Ireland Schools’ Cup.

Girls Hockey
Double Cup Winners
The sun shone on the 14th March 2016 for the 11th annual Killicomaine JHS 8th Year Hockey Tournament. 12 teams from schools in Portadown, surrounding areas, Lisburn and Belfast competed in two sections, with the winners from each meeting for the final. Killicomaine emerged triumphant winning 2 – 0 in an exciting Final. Mrs Sherman who established the tournament presented the trophy. Killicomaine 8th Year Team was also joint winners with Methody of the Grosvenor Grammar Tournament on the 9th March. Killicomaine remain the only school to have won this prestigious tournament on more than one occasion.

Netball
The Invincibles!
This has been a fantastic year for Killicomaine’s Minor (Yr 9) Netball Team which has been undefeated this season, playing 21 matches and losing none! They were crowned VISTA league champions when they won all their matches against the seven competing schools. They then went on to win the Banbridge Academy Netball Blitz, beating all 10 competing schools and finally last week they made it to the final of the ‘Schools VISTA Cup’ where they beat Lurgan JHS in an exciting match in Banbridge Leisure Centre, making this the third big win of the season. They received a beautiful shield and Cup for their successes.

Netball
The Junior team also participated in the Banbridge Academy Netball Blitz, where they competed against 11 schools and made it to an exciting final against Tandragee. It was a fantastic match with Killicomaine scoring more goals and being awarded overall winners of the tournament. They just missed out on a league and cup double, finishing runners up in both.

Rugby
U14 Boys’ Rugby
Killicomaine’s under 14 boys’ rugby team has enjoyed an outstanding season. They have only been defeated once in 15 outings this year and have recorded notable victories over Portora Royal, Banbridge Academy and Dromore High School. They recently finished their season on a high with a ‘House Rugby’ tournament which all the boys enjoyed. Blacker, captained by Jordan Robb, were the overall winners on the day.
