On Wednesday the 28th February Killicomaine Year 9 and Year 10 volleyball teams travelled to Brownlow Leisure Centre to compete in the a volleyball tournament.

The Year 10 team got through to the quarter finals. They won their first and second matches and had an easy win for their 3rd. But unfortunately they lost their quarter final match. Players of the match were Emily Graham and Rebekah Ritchie for team 3, and Jessica Allen and Emma Duke for team 2.

The Year 9 team: The first team we played was Dalriada and with some good passing we won 15-6. Our second game was against Tandragee. We started off well but Tandragee came back strong and we were defeated 15-6. Our final game was against Drumglass and with everyone playing well this was a hard fought match and we managed to win by 15-13 to Killicomaine. Unfortunately we didn't make it through to the quarter finals as points difference was the decider.

On Wednesday the 7th February Killicomaine Year 8 and Year 9 volleyball teams travelled to SRC to compete in the N.I. tournament.

The Year 9 team played very well together. The first match ended with a score of 15-4 against Markethill. In the second game against Lismore we won 15-5 and during the last group match we fought hard against Dalriada to gain a place in the finals with a score of 15-5 to Killicomaine.
In the semi-final against Markethill we won 15-10 and in the final against a very competitive Tandragee team Ellen served the ball 15 times leading to a strong win of 15-0 to Killicomaine.

The Year 8 team had an outstanding first tournament. They beat Lismore 15-10, Tandragee 15-7 and Markethill 15-8 leading to them reaching the finals. In the final the year 8 team beat Tandragee in a very tight match ending with 15-12 to Killicomaine.
