Annual Charity Collection 2013

Year 8 & 9 pupils from Killicomaine Junior High School have taken part in their regular collection for charity, raising the fantastic amount of 5560.00.
Pupils who collected 50 or more are pictured at the presentation along with representatives from the four main charities (Barnardo’s, Cancer Research Northern Ireland, NSPCC and The Southern Area Hospice Services).

Many of the pupils collected over 40.00 individually and received an Easter egg for their efforts.

The main charities supported this year were Barnardo’s, Cancer Research Northern Ireland, NSPCC and The Southern Area Hospice Services.  Each charity received 1000.

The remainder of the money has been donated to seven different charities each receiving a cheque, ranging from 200 to 310.

A special word of thanks is extended to the pupils of Killicomaine Junior High School themselves and their parents for raising such a magnificent amount.
