Annual Charity Collection 2013
Year 8 & 9 pupils from
Killicomaine Junior High School have taken part in their regular collection
for charity, raising the fantastic amount of £5560.00.
Pupils who collected £50 or more are pictured at the presentation along with
representatives from the four main charities (Barnardo’s, Cancer Research
Northern Ireland, NSPCC and The Southern Area Hospice Services).
Many of the pupils
collected over £40.00 individually and received an Easter egg for their
The main charities
supported this year were Barnardo’s, Cancer Research Northern Ireland, NSPCC
and The Southern Area Hospice Services. Each charity received £1000.
The remainder of the
money has been donated to seven different charities each receiving a cheque,
ranging from £200 to £310.
A special word of thanks
is extended to the pupils of Killicomaine Junior High School themselves and
their parents for raising such a magnificent amount.
