Soirée
au Restaurant Français
|
|
This
year we tried to have a FRENCH THEMED NIGHT instead of going to a typically
French restaurant in Belfast.
It was an experiment and it seemed to work really well. We contacted the Head Chef in the Seagoe Hotel and he proposed a truly wonderful menu - one which most parents would have raved about for weeks - a copy is here! |

A few of the pupils helped to decorate the room beforehand and we put up bunting,
flags, maps, the Eiffel Tower, balloons etc and the hotel provided blue, white
and red napkins and candlelit tables. We even had French music. On the night,
pupils were asked to dress up in either something typically French or in blue,
white and red!

Imagine our surprise and delight when NAPOLEON himself arrived! (alias JAMES
BUSBY!)
What a treat and what an affort! Well done James, you stole the show completely!

During
the meal we had various games and a French quiz and even a pinyata -
although he WAS called FRENCHY!!!
We also built Eiffel Towers out of plastic cups and signed our names on a big Eiffel Tower poster. |

Our
thanks to the Head Chef TOM for "un menu tout a fait spectaculaire"
and to all those who helped to make it another memorable evening for
the Year 10's.
